NY International Motorcycle Show

Detail:

NEW Harley-Davidson Sportster 48

NY International Motorcycle Show

Surprise hit of the show, the Harley-Davidson Sportster 48 (hope I got
that right).

I got to talk with Richard Christoph, lead designer of the Nighster,
about his new creation.

It's back to the roots for this Sportster. Details, like the original
1948 tank size and the wide fork front, are some of the sick standouts
that will make this even more popular than the Nighster and Iron 883.

We hope to get a chance to talk more with Rich in Milwalkee at the H-D
research facility.

Today is the big day. What will the crowds be like? Eco downturn means you can't buy your dream bike. But is it so bad that people can't even afford the price of a show ticket? That's the question. We will see...

Kawasaki Concours 14 is a must see. It will set the new standard for Sport Touring for all manufacturers. Harley needs to take notice of the technology that riders are demanding.

NY International Motorcycle Show

This weekend marks the beginning of a new year for East Coast riders
and a new hope for the motorcycle industry. NY is a big market share
for all the manufacturers.

Debuting this year is Ducati's Multistrada 1200, a techno tour de
force, with ABS, traction control, and electronic adjustability for
four riding settings - touring, enduro, urban, and sport. Watch out BMW!

The NY international motorcycle show is this weekend at the Javits Center. CC will be there posting pics and info live.
